    Authors: Soltani, Mohammed;

    Cette étude est consacrée à la caractérisation par spectroscopie de photoluminescence aux très basses températures (hélium liquide) d'échantillons massifs de CdTe de type p élabores par la technique de Bridgman et dopés les uns à l'arsenic (67 ppm) et les autres à l'antimoine (137 ppm). La comparaison du spectre des échantillons dopés avec celui de l'échantillon témoin montre l'apparition d'une large bande à 1.55 eV suivie de deux répliques phononiques. Dans ces spectres on observe également, indépendamment de la nature du dopant, la présence de la bande à 1.45 eV qui est composée de la raie principale (1.453 eV) et de trois répliques phononiques. Cette bande a été attribuée à la recombinaison radiative donneur-accepteur (d-a) entre un donneur neutre d non identifié et l'accepteur cuivre (impureté résiduelle). La structure fine de la bande à 1.55 eV a été mise en évidence par l'étude de l'évolution de son intensité entre 4.2 et 30 K. La bande à 1.55 eV est ainsi composée de deux raies, l'une à 1.542 eV due à la recombinaison radiative (D°-A°) de l'accepteur as/sb avec le donneur neutre d, l'autre raie à 1.548 eV attribuée à la recombinaison radiative (e-A°) de l'électron de conduction avec le même accepteur (As ou Sb). La mesure du facteur de couplage s entre les porteurs de charge et les phonons optique longitudinaux (facteur de Huang-Rhys) a été effectuée à partir du rapport des intensités entre la raie principale et ses répliques (distribution de Poisson) ainsi qu'avec la méthode des moments. Les bilans énergétiques des recombinaisons radiatives (e-A°) et (D°-A°) des bandes à 1.45 et 1.55 eV ont permis d'évaluer les différentes énergies de liaison des accepteurs As, Sb, Cu ainsi que celle du donneur résiduel D°. Nous avons ensuite développé le modèle théorique des facteurs s de ces différentes recombinaisons radiatives en fonction des rayons effectifs des impuretés (donneurs et accepteurs) mises en jeu. Les rayons effectifs des accepteurs ont été obtenus à l'aide d'un calcul variationnel de l'énergie de liaison de l'impureté tenant compte de la correction de cellule centrale, alors que le rayon du donneur D° a été évalué à l'aide du modèle du défaut quantique. Une bonne cohérence entre les valeurs de s mesurées et celles calculées a été obtenue avec la masse des trous légers à l'aide de deux modèles correspondant l'un au cas d'impuretés peu profondes et l'autre au cas d'impuretés plus profondes The low-temperature (4,2 K up to 30 K) photoluminescence (PL)-spectrum of bulk p-CdTe [non intentionally-doped ; doped with arsenic (67 ppm) ; doped with arsenic (67 ppm) ; doped with antimony (137 ppm)] has been measured in the spectrum (1,3 eV to the energy gap Eg = 1.606 eV). The (PL) spectrum of the doped samples are dominated by a new band near 1.55 eV, followed by several longitudinal optical (LO)-phonon replicas. We attribute this band to donor-acceptor (D°-A°) transitions involving Cu-acceptor and an unidentified shallow donor. The low temperature (PL) shows that the new band exhibits a fine structure and is composed of two peaks (1.542 eV and 1.548 eV). The first peak is due to the dnor-acceptor (D°-A°) recombinaison and the second peak is due to conduction electron-acceptor transitions. These transitions involve the As (Sb) acceptor. The Huang-Rhys coupling factor associated to the different phonon side-bands have been obtained from the relative intensities of the luminescence lines.We have developed a theorical model which takes into account the change carrier (LO)-phonon interaction and allows for central cell corrections of the deep acceptor states. The theorical model is in reasonable agreement with experiment. It has been show that the radiative transitions associated to the light hole mass are predominant

    Authors: Etienne, Jocelyn;

    The Lagrange--Galerkin method is the coupling of a finite element method for space discretisation with the method of characteristics for the discretisation of the material derivative in some parabolic problems. We propose a new scheme of second-order accuracy in time, which in contrast with previous methods does not require a correction term. Numerical examples, including Burgers equation, illustrate the convergence rate and low computational cost of the method.

    Colloque avec actes et comité de lecture. Internationale.; International audience; Nous présentons des expériences, utilisant la technique du creuset froid, dans lesquelles des lanthanides, ou d'autres éléments, sont transférés d'une phase saline fluorée vers une phase métallique liquide contenant un agent réducteur tel le Lithium. Du ZrF4 (5 mol%), ou bien du CeF3 (2 mol%), est dissous dans du LiF. Un alliage métallique Sb-Li contenant 5 ou 10 wt % de Lithium, est mis en contact de la phase saline à t = 0. Le taux de transfert est déduit des analyses ICP post mortem effectuées sur des échantillons prélevés dans le métal à pas de temps donnés. La cinétique du transfert est très rapide et dépend de l'agitation électromagnétique.

    International audience; Territorial recompositions within South African cities bear the influence of global economic forces. The fragmented urban morphology inherited from apartheid composes today with the rapid development of malls. Designed to be cities within the city, or appeal to the exotic imaginary, some offer a new vitality to once decayed environment, and even a haven for desegregation. Other further urban fragmentation while participating in the globalisation of South African cities. Their use of architectural and toponymic references to international and/or vernacular styles can be analysed within the dialectic framework of africanisation/globalisation. We propose to explore these issues through the case study of three Cape Town malls: the Victoria & Albert Waterfront, Century City and Vangate Mall.

    Authors: Martineau, Anne, Martineau;

    Version auteur, plus longue que celle publiée aux Presses de la Sorbonne. Elle est relue et amendée. Dans le texte paru en 2010, un article était signalé en note comme "sous presse". Étant donné qu’il a paru en 2011, nous donnons ici ses références.; International audience; De toutes les versions de la disparition du prophète, la plus terrible est celle du Merlin-Huth (ca 1235-1240) de la Post-Vulgate. La Dame du Lac, ici nommée Niviene, l’y fait mourir de mort lente, en l’enfermant vivant dans un tombeau (et, qui plus est, un tombeau déjà occupé par deux cadavres…) Les critiques modernes s’accordent à y voir une dégradation de l’image de Merlin, parlent de sa « déchéance », de « régression morale », et même de son « retour sous le signe du diable ». Notre article s’inscrit en faux contre ces lectures, et montre qu’au contraire l’auteur (inconnu) de la Suite-Huth a réservé à Merlin une fin terrible, certes, mais pour cela même sublime, et qu’il meurt sauvé.

    International audience; Both frication noise and vowel formants cue the place of articulation of sibilant fricatives (e.g., /s/ and / / in English).However, only few studies have examined the effect of speaker-specific factors. This acoustic study of sibilant fricatives examines how speaker-specific formant information can improve the distinctness of two phonemic categories of sibilants: /s/ vs. / / in French and /s/ vs. /sj/ in Japanese. The results show that the center of gravity of the frication noise, normalized with respect to the subject-specific coefficient of vowel onset or vowel center formants, provides an appreciable improvement in the sibilant distinctness in Japanese. While the distinctness score of the noise is generally higher in French than in Japanese, the F2 onset patterns (/s/

    A wide range of morphological and biochemical changes occur in the central nervous system with increasing age. L-carnitine, a naturally occurring compound, plays a vital role in fatty acid transport across the mitochondrial membrane. L-carnitine (300 mg/kg body wt/day) was administered intraperitoneally to young and old male Wistar rats for 7, 14, and 21 days. Carnitine, dopamine, epinephrine, and serotonin levels were assayed in discrete regions of the brain. Carnitine supplementation increased the levels of dopamine, epinephrine, and serotonin in the experimental animals in our study. Response to carnitine supplementation varied among the brain regions that have been studied. The regions rich in cholinergic neurons such as the cortex, hippocampus, and striatum showed more response after 21 days of carnitine treatment. The results of the present study suggest the role of L-carnitine as a neuromodulator and antiaging medication.

    Authors: Guiheux, Gilles;

    Les migrations massives de populations rurales vers les villes chinoises constituent l'un des faits sociaux majeurs de la fin du XXe siècle et du début du XXIe siècle. Alors que le régime communiste avait organisé et institutionnaliséunefrontière entre villes et campagnes, notamment par le biais du système d'enregistrement des ménages, celui-ci, sans pour autant disparaître, s'est assoupli.La société chinoise, jusque-là largement immobile, où les statuts et les positions étaient hérités ou assignés par des décisions politiques, s'est ainsi remise en mouvement. Les villes chinoises, qu'elles soient pluri-millionnaires, de taille intermédiaire ou petites, comptent désormais une population récemment installée qui peut représenter la moitié ou les deux tiers de la population totale. Ce brassage a pris la forme de multiples déplacements dans l'espace national comme dans l'espace social. Ce phénomène migratoire mérite que Shi Lu y consacre un ouvrage non seulement par son ampleur inégalée dans l'histoire de l'humanité, mais aussi par le défi qu'il pose aux sciences sociales.

    Authors: Soltani, Mohammed;

    Cette étude est consacrée à la caractérisation par spectroscopie de photoluminescence aux très basses températures (hélium liquide) d'échantillons massifs de CdTe de type p élabores par la technique de Bridgman et dopés les uns à l'arsenic (67 ppm) et les autres à l'antimoine (137 ppm). La comparaison du spectre des échantillons dopés avec celui de l'échantillon témoin montre l'apparition d'une large bande à 1.55 eV suivie de deux répliques phononiques. Dans ces spectres on observe également, indépendamment de la nature du dopant, la présence de la bande à 1.45 eV qui est composée de la raie principale (1.453 eV) et de trois répliques phononiques. Cette bande a été attribuée à la recombinaison radiative donneur-accepteur (d-a) entre un donneur neutre d non identifié et l'accepteur cuivre (impureté résiduelle). La structure fine de la bande à 1.55 eV a été mise en évidence par l'étude de l'évolution de son intensité entre 4.2 et 30 K. La bande à 1.55 eV est ainsi composée de deux raies, l'une à 1.542 eV due à la recombinaison radiative (D°-A°) de l'accepteur as/sb avec le donneur neutre d, l'autre raie à 1.548 eV attribuée à la recombinaison radiative (e-A°) de l'électron de conduction avec le même accepteur (As ou Sb). La mesure du facteur de couplage s entre les porteurs de charge et les phonons optique longitudinaux (facteur de Huang-Rhys) a été effectuée à partir du rapport des intensités entre la raie principale et ses répliques (distribution de Poisson) ainsi qu'avec la méthode des moments. Les bilans énergétiques des recombinaisons radiatives (e-A°) et (D°-A°) des bandes à 1.45 et 1.55 eV ont permis d'évaluer les différentes énergies de liaison des accepteurs As, Sb, Cu ainsi que celle du donneur résiduel D°. Nous avons ensuite développé le modèle théorique des facteurs s de ces différentes recombinaisons radiatives en fonction des rayons effectifs des impuretés (donneurs et accepteurs) mises en jeu. Les rayons effectifs des accepteurs ont été obtenus à l'aide d'un calcul variationnel de l'énergie de liaison de l'impureté tenant compte de la correction de cellule centrale, alors que le rayon du donneur D° a été évalué à l'aide du modèle du défaut quantique. Une bonne cohérence entre les valeurs de s mesurées et celles calculées a été obtenue avec la masse des trous légers à l'aide de deux modèles correspondant l'un au cas d'impuretés peu profondes et l'autre au cas d'impuretés plus profondes The low-temperature (4,2 K up to 30 K) photoluminescence (PL)-spectrum of bulk p-CdTe [non intentionally-doped ; doped with arsenic (67 ppm) ; doped with arsenic (67 ppm) ; doped with antimony (137 ppm)] has been measured in the spectrum (1,3 eV to the energy gap Eg = 1.606 eV). The (PL) spectrum of the doped samples are dominated by a new band near 1.55 eV, followed by several longitudinal optical (LO)-phonon replicas. We attribute this band to donor-acceptor (D°-A°) transitions involving Cu-acceptor and an unidentified shallow donor. The low temperature (PL) shows that the new band exhibits a fine structure and is composed of two peaks (1.542 eV and 1.548 eV). The first peak is due to the dnor-acceptor (D°-A°) recombinaison and the second peak is due to conduction electron-acceptor transitions. These transitions involve the As (Sb) acceptor. The Huang-Rhys coupling factor associated to the different phonon side-bands have been obtained from the relative intensities of the luminescence lines.We have developed a theorical model which takes into account the change carrier (LO)-phonon interaction and allows for central cell corrections of the deep acceptor states. The theorical model is in reasonable agreement with experiment. It has been show that the radiative transitions associated to the light hole mass are predominant

    Authors: Etienne, Jocelyn;

    Authors: Martineau, Anne, Martineau;

    Authors: Guiheux, Gilles;

    Les migrations massives de populations rurales vers les villes chinoises constituent l'un des faits sociaux majeurs de la fin du XXe siècle et du début du XXIe siècle. Alors que le régime communiste avait organisé et institutionnaliséunefrontière entre villes et campagnes, notamment par le biais du système d'enregistrement des ménages, celui-ci, sans pour autant disparaître, s'est assoupli.La société chinoise, jusque-là largement immobile, où les statuts et les positions étaient hérités ou assignés par des décisions politiques, s'est ainsi remise en mouvement. Les villes chinoises, qu'elles soient pluri-millionnaires, de taille intermédiaire ou petites, comptent désormais une population récemment installée qui peut représenter la moitié ou les deux tiers de la population totale. Ce brassage a pris la forme de multiples déplacements dans l'espace national comme dans l'espace social. Ce phénomène migratoire mérite que Shi Lu y consacre un ouvrage non seulement par son ampleur inégalée dans l'histoire de l'humanité, mais aussi par le défi qu'il pose aux sciences sociales.
